Moving Slowly

It seems that work at The Green House goes in spurts.  It speeds up, then slows down.

We are presently at a very slow point.  We were hoping to insulate today but inspections were delayed, and are not scheduled to happen until Monday.  We hope insulation will happen next week, if all goes well.

We had a mysterious puddle appear in the yard.  The water came from underground and the puddle grew and grew and melted the snow around it. 

We called the water company. 

The puddle is gone. 

We assume the water company fixed the issue, or turned the water off.

The water company didn't find it necessary to communicate to us what the issue was.  I really don't like the water company.  Is calling us too much to ask?  They have a monopoly.  Customer service is clearly not a priority.

Until the water company chooses to get their act together and COMMUNICATE, I am assuming the worst.... we have a leaky pipe in our front yard that needs to be dug up and replaced.

I can't complain, work has gone so smoothly.  I honestly expected more bumps in the road, more surprises and issues.  It's not too late for that to happen.
