Paint!

Now that the plaster is done, it's time for paint!  Every waking moment that The Mister isn't working, he's painting.  Oh how I love him!  OK, he takes breaks to watch basketball games.  But still....  I miss him.

The house is primed.  The ceilings are painted.  I love bright white ceilings. They feel so clean.

It's time for color.

The living room will be Carmel.

The dining room will be a light gray blue.  The color on the right, which ironically, is the same color it was when we bought the house.

And, The Green House, now has a green kitchen!  The kitchen is done.

Ohh, and guess what The Mister found under the awful linoleum in the kitchen?

He found hardwood floors in the kitchen that match the floors in the dining room and living room.  He plans to rent a wallpaper steamer to remove the glue.

We will see how it goes!

I'll try to keep you updated.

  1. Actually, the hardwoods in the kitchen are more like the ones upstairs--typical tongue-and-groove flooring that would be found in just about any pre-1950s house. The stuff in the living room and dining room is thinner, narrower, and is laid on top of floorboards.
